Arborist reports
A written report from an arborist about a tree's condition, often required for a city tree permit.
What it is
An arborist report records each tree's species, size, health and condition, and gives a recommendation. Cities with private tree bylaws usually require one before they'll issue a permit to remove or injure a protected tree.
Reports are also used for insurance claims, property sales and settling questions with neighbours. Your city may require the report to be done by an ISA Certified Arborist or another qualified professional.

Before HST, for 1–3 trees. Multi-tree or complex sites run $800–$1,500 or more. The city's own permit fee is extra.
